CLOGWYN RETURNS!

Well, at about the time this morning that members of Usk Valley Ospreys received notification of our last blog post into their inbox, Clogwyn (our resident female of 2024 and 2025) was back on the Gilestone nest!!

She has returned 20 days earlier than in 2025 – that is in keeping with a general early return of osprey to UK nest-sites. She flew onto the nest for the first time in 2026 at 07.05am today and has made several brief visits during the morning. Persistent northerly winds do not appear to have held up her return.

I am sure we all hope that Syfaddan (male) follows hot on her heels.
