A THIRD EGG
Our Talybont female laid her third egg overnight at 22:20hrs on 30th April.
She seems to have developed a habit of producing eggs at 72hr intervals as daylight fades. For an assumed 4-yr old female she has been remarkably productive by laying a full clutch of 3 eggs in her first year.
Clear evidence of the third egg was only provided at 05:44 on 1st May.
She appears to be coping well and is getting support from the male in supplying fish, defending the nest and taking a share of incubation duties.
